In an age of cricket revamps, music idols and dancing stars, a new set of individuals have formed a conglomerate to bring innovation to cricket entertainment in India. While their venture may seem nascent, they carry a thriving reputation behind them in the traditional home of cricket, England.
Cricket Star is the latest venture in the world of sports by a group of highly intellectual entrepreneurs and businessmen who aim to successfully blend cricketing passion with business acumen. These enterprising men work under the banner of Investors in Cricket, more popularly known as the IIC. The IIC’s chief objective is the profitable creation and management of sports with special relevance to the Indian sub-continent.
In the 24 months since its inception, IIC has evolved into a thriving cricket venture, holding some prestigious properties including The International 2020 Club Championship (the “Champions League of 2020 Cricket”), and the commercial rights of Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
LCCC, one of 18 and one of the oldest clubs in the UK, have tied up with IIC who hold the rights to the club’s commercial interests. The International 2020 Club Championship is a fast growing international event involving multi-faceted teams from different parts of the world converging for what is soon to be the Champions League of cricket.
IIC specialises in identifying avenues and partners to draw out the best of talent in multifarious fields. Their blending into a successful operation translates into the optimum development and management of cricket and related rights to raise revenue and promote the commercial interests of the sport. With tie ups with prominent television networks and broadcasting agencies, governing boards, production units and technology partners, IIC brings in a truly professional nexus to the finest enterprise of making the most of the immense business mine that is cricket.
